Rubén García Doménech,Co-principal horn of the Marseille Opera Philharmonic Orchestra
Ruben began his French horn studies at the Musical Instruction Center Santa Cecilia de Yátova with the professor Javier Doménech Esteve. He continued his professional studies with Javier at San Rafael Conservatory in Buñol. He obtained the highest grades and the end of studies prize.
He then attended the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Aragón to continue his studies in higher grades, with professors Hervé Joulain, Rodolfo Epelde Cruz, Francisco Rodriguez Azorín, Bernardo Cifres Amat and Angel García Lechago. He attended the chamber music classes of professors Pedro Castaño, Álvaro Octavio and Manuel Angulo. And he completed his formation with professors such as Eric Terwilliger, Sarah Willis, Stefan Dohr, Daniel Bourge, Pascal Pongy, Julien Pongy, among other great horn players.
In 2014 he went to Nancy to continue his formation with Jean-Philippe Chavey and Julien Mériglier, where he also followed Marc Loviconi’s advices.
Since 2018 he works as co-principal in the Philarmonic Orchestra of the Opera in Marseille. He has collaborated with orchestras such as the French National Orchestra, the National Orchestra of Metz, the National Orchestra of Lorraine and the Philarmonic Orchestra of Strasbourg, among others.
