After a brilliant academic career at the Conservatoire of Lyon, he joined the National Opera of the Rhine as a trumpet soloist in 1983, where he remained until 2005, when he decided to start teaching without leaving his role as an interpreter. He is currently a professor at the Conservatory of Rouen.
He is regularly invited as a soloist by prestigious orchestras and chamber orchestras such as I Solisti Veneti, the Badwurtenberg Chamber Orchestra, where he recorded Molter’s double concertos with Guy Touvron, the Chamber Orchestra of l'Auvergne and the Chamber Orchestra of Stuttgart.
He has also been invited by many symphony orchestras like Orchestre National de Lyon, Orchestre du Capitole de Toulouse, Orchestre National de France and the National Orchestra of Opera in Paris.
He is also a member of Ensemble des Cuivres Français conducted by Thierry Caens.
